Men's Tennis Falls In Their 2014 Season Finale, 7-2

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's tennis team concluded their 2014 season on Wednesday afternoon with a 7-2 defeat at the hands of Gwynedd Mercy (4-4, 4-3 CSAC).  The Mighty Macs finished the season 2-8 overall, and 2-5 in CSAC play.
 
Freshmen Stephen Smith and Mark Hueber both played well down the stretch and earned points for the Mighty Macs in today's match.
 
Smith won his third singles match in his last four tries by winning a three-set battle, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in his first-ever match in the number four position.

Hueber won in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
 
Freshman John Binner lost a tough one in the fifth spot.  After dropping the first set, Binner rallied to win the second set in a tie break.  The freshman then went on to fall in the third set tie breaker, 10-4.
 
Immaculata will now look to build off their successes with their young roster this season as they move toward 2015.
