BOX SCOREIMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's tennis team looked to snap their early season skid in their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener as they travelled to Neumann (5-2, 3-0 CSAC) on Tuesday afternoon, but the Knights bested the Mighty Macs (0-4, 0-1 CSAC) by a count of 9-0.
The Mighty Macs fell in a quick 3-0 hole by dropping the doubles matches.
In singles, freshmen
John Binner and
Stephen Smith each made their collegiate tennis debuts in the fifth and sixth spots, respectively. Smith battled in his match, but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-3. Sophomore
Nick Coia dropped the match in the first position 6-3, 6-1 while junior
Will DeSantis lost 6-1, 6-2 in the second spot.
The men's tennis team will look to get in the win column in CSAC play on Thursday when they host Keystone at 4 p.m.
