Box Score IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University volleyball moved above the .500-mark in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play with Tuesday evening's 3-0 sweep opposite Baptist Bible College as the Mighty Macs improved to 12-5 overall and 2-1 in the CSAC. The Mighty Macs won the match with set scores of 25-17, 25-22 and 25-20.

Jamie Rombach and
Arden Vizzard led the Mighty Macs with nine kills apiece. Rombach also finished with 12 digs and two block assists.
Stephanie Johler recorded seven kills and three service aces.
Gabrielle Guerrera had six kills and five total blocks (two solo, three assist).

Maranda Jones had a match-best 19 assists and seven digs, while
Brittany Thompson handed out 13 assists, seven digs and three service aces.
Molly Truitt paced the back row with 19 digs, and
Emily Swank was also in double figures in digs with 10.

Each set went back-and-forth with neither team controlling play from the start. In the opener, the Mighty Macs did not pull away until midway through. The score was tied at 10-all before Immaculata scored seven straight points to grab the lead for good.

The score was tied at 16-16 in the second set when Immaculata won three consecutive points to take the lead, 19-16. The Mighty Macs never gave the lead back to the Defenders, but the visitors were able to cut the hosts advantage to 23-22 before the Mighty Macs closed out the set.

After getting out to the early lead in the final set, Immaculata let Baptist Bible come back and take the edge. Tied at 11-11, the Defenders went up 16-11, and they would hold the advantage until the Mighty Macs tied it once again at 18-18 in the midst of a five-point run for Immaculata.

Immaculata travels to Marywood on Oct. 11 for a 1 p.m. match with the Pacers.
