Senior Night Spoiled For The Mighty Macs, 1-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University men's soccer had its senior night spoiled by visiting Gwynedd Mercy University on Tuesday as the visiting Griffins defeated the Mighty Macs, 1-0, in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action.
 
Gwynedd Mercy's (7-11, 5-4) Kyle Ditsche scored on a chip shot in the 19th minute for the early lead and it would be all the scoring.
 
The Griffins dominated offensively during the opening half and early portion of the second half. The Mighty Macs made a push during the last six minutes of the second half to score the equalizer with three shots. Gwynedd Mercy finished with a 15-12 edge in shots against Immaculata.
 
Alec Schuler had a team-leading four shots while Patrick Friend and Kyle Jumalon tallied three each.
 
Immmaculata goalkeeper Michael Thompson made six saves.
 
Immaculata (3-13-1, 1-7) wraps up the 2014 season on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. traveling to Keystone.
