Men's Soccer Comes Up Just Short Against Neumann, 1-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's soccer squad dropped a tough 1-0 decision at Draper Walsh Stadium to visiting Neumann University on Wednesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play.
 
The Knights (1-7-1, 1-0-0 CSAC) capitalized on a corner opportunity in the 49th minute for the game's only goal. Joe Martinho took the corner kick for Neumann, sending it into the box where Evan Fahey flicked it up to Jim McDowell for the goal.
 
Immaculata (2-7-1, 0-2-0 CSAC) got 10 saves from goalkeeper Joseph Lubonski. Neumann out shot Immaculata, 23-5, for the contest as the Mighty Macs back line was tested throughout the game.
 
Alec Schuler led the Mighty Macs with two shots.
 
Immaculata will head to Baptist Bible on Saturday for a 2 p.m. start against the Defenders.
