Volleyball Drops CSAC Opener 3-0 At Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball team fell to Cabrini College, 3-0, in the Mighty Macs' Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener on Thursday evening. The host Cavaliers won the match by scores of 25-13, 25-10 and 25-21.
 
Jamie Rombach led the Mighty Macs with six kills, while Allison Lang finished with four kills and three total blocks. Rebecca McDonald added three kills. Maranda Jones had a team-leading 12 assists. Molly Truitt made 13 digs to pace Immaculata.
 
Immaculata tried to force a fourth set with a strong showing in the third set. After leading for much of the set, the Mighty Macs still led 20-19, but Cavaliers set up match-point with five straight points. Lang was able to put down a kill to make the score 24-21, but Cabrini won the match on the next point.
 
Immaculata falls to 4-9 overall, 1-0 in the CSAC. Cabrini improved to 13-3, 3-0 CSAC.
 
Immaculata hosts Neumann at 1 p.m. Saturday at Alumnae Hall.
