Men's Soccer Falls In Conference Opener, 2-0

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University men's soccer opened the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) portion of its schedule Thursday night with a 2-0 loss to Baptist Bible College under the lights at Draper Walsh Stadium.
 
Baptist Bible's Ben Howell scored off a corner kick from Peter Paye in the 31st minute for the Defenders' first marker of the contest.
 
The Defenders didn't strike again until the 69th minute when Paye beat Immaculata's goalkeeper to lift Baptist Bible ahead 2-0.
 
Immaculata goalkeeper Joseph Lubonski was forced to make just two saves, while Baptist Bible keeper Dillon Bowman made seven stops.
 
Immaculata was able to lead 18-8 in shots as the Mighty Macs threatened offensively for much of the night. Tyler Budgick led the Mighty Macs with six shots.
 
Immaculata slips to 1-8 overall and 0-1 in the CSAC. Baptist Bible improved to 3-7, 1-0 CSAC.
 
Immaculata concludes its five-game homestand on Oct. 2 hosting Cairn at 4 p.m.
