IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball team was swept by visiting Bryn Mawr College on Thursday night, 3-0. The Mighty Macs fell to the Owls by set scores 20-25, 19-25 and 18-25.
 
Stephanie Johler led the Mighty Macs with eight kills. Jamie Rombach, Andrea Okoro and Alexandra Okoro all finished with five kills apiece. Rombach added seven digs, and Andrea Okoro made two blocks. Allison Lang recorded four kills and a team-best three blocks.
 
Brittany Thompson set up 13 Immaculata kills, and Maranda Jones had eight assists. Molly Truitt made a team-high 14 digs.
 
After falling behind by 10 points (19-9) in the first set, Immaculata (2-7) scored eight-straight points and nine of 10 overall to cut its deficit to 20-18. However, Bryn Mawr closed out the set with a 25-20 victory.
 
The Owls (7-3) controlled the tempo during the second and third sets to win in straight sets.
 
Immaculata will be at Alvernia on Saturday for a tri-match. Immaculata plays Alvernia at 10 a.m. and Delaware Valley at noon.
