IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's tennis team (7-1, 4-0 CSAC) continued the torrid start to their season with a 9-0 triumph over Rosemont (0-9, 0-5 CSAC) in league play. The Mighty Macs lost only nine total games in the three doubles matches and three singles matches. Seniors
Todd Stokley won his doubles match with senior partner
Eric Schmidt 8-0 and then Stokley followed that up with a 6-0, 6-0 straight set victory.
In the other doubles, sophomore
Troy Donato and freshman Nicholas Coia won 8-1 in the first position and seniors
Joe Walker and
T.J. Klinger won 8-2 in the second position.
In singles play, Donato won 6-0, 6-0 in the first position as did Klinger in the fifth position. Walker in the second position and Coia in the fourth position won 6-2, 6-0 while Schmidt wrapped up the runaway victory with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the third position.
The Mighty Macs look to go to 5-0 in CSAC play when they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy on Friday at 4 p.m.
