ASTON, Pa.- For the third time this season, sophomore
Troy Donato was named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for men's tennis. The previous two times, he was named the Men's Tennis Player of the Week.
Donato is in the midst of one of the best singles seasons in Immaculata history with two more conference wins over Neumann and Marywood out of the first position last week. Against Neumann, Donato won 6-1, 6-2 as part of the team's victory to seal the second seed in the CSAC Championships that begin this Friday. Donato and partner Nicholas Coia also won out of the first doubles position.
Against Marywood, Donato won 7-6, 6-3 over fellow number one Todd Doran to pick up a point in the loss to Marywood.
The Mighty Macs are taking on Alvernia this afternoon in the final non-conference match of the season before the CSAC semifinals this Friday. Immaculata will be taking on the third-seeded Baptist Bible College Defenders.
