IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's tennis team (10-3, 6-1 CSAC) took their first CSAC loss of the season by a count of 7-2 at the hands of Marywood (11-4, 7-0 CSAC) on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs will now head into next week's CSAC Championships as the number two seed.
Sophomore
Troy Donato won his singles match by a score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 in the number one position for the first Immaculata point. Senior
T.J. Klinger had a 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 comeback victory in the fifth singles position to get the Mighty Macs their second point on the day.
In doubles, Marywood won all three. In the first doubles, Donato and freshman Nicholas Coia dropped a tight 9-7 decision.
Immaculata will have one more non-conference match this Monday when they travel to Alvernia for a 4 p.m. start before the CSAC semifinals next Friday afternoon.
