DALLAS, Pa.- For the second straight outing, Immaculata (8-1, 4-0 CSAC) swept all the matches and won 9-0, this time over Misericordia en route to their seventh straight victory in their record-setting 2013. All six players won both of their matches and senior
Eric Schmidt and freshman Nicholas Coia won in third set tiebreakers in their singles matches.
In the doubles, the Mighty Macs established control by winning all three while only losing eight games combined. Sophomore
Troy Donato and Coia won 8-2 in the first doubles spot, followed by seniors
T.J. Klinger and
Joe Walker winning 8-5 in the second doubles spot, and seniors
Todd Stokley and Schmidt winning 8-1 in the final doubles position.
In singles, Donato, Walker, Klinger, and Stokley all won easily. Donato topped his opponent 6-1, 6-1 followed by Walker winning 6-1, 6-0. Both Klinger and Stokley won 6-2, 6-0.
Schmidt split his first two sets in the third spot before winning his tie break 10-5. Coia split his first two sets before coming out on top 10-6 in his third set tie break.
The Mighty Macs will look to extend their record- long winning streak when they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy tomorrow for a 4 p.m. match.
