Men's Tennis Wins Season Opener

IMMACULATA, Pa.-
 The Immaculata men's tennis team (1-0) got their season started on the right foot with a 7-2 victory over Penn State-Berks (0-1).  Seniors Joe Walker, T.J. Klinger, and Todd Stokley each one their singles and doubles matches to lead the Mighty Macs.

The Mighty Macs won two out of three doubles matches with Klinger and Walkers winning 8-4 in the second doubles spot and Stokley and senior Eric Schmidt sweeping third double 8-0.

In singles, Immaculata won five out of the six matches.  Sophomore Troy Donato won out of the number one position by a score of 6-1, 7-5 to open his Mighty Mac career.  Walker won 6-4, 6-2 in the second position, Klinger won 6-0, 6-3 in the fifth position and Stokley won 6-2, 6-2 in the sixth position.

Freshman Nicholas Coia picked up his first career singles victory out of the number four spot with a three set triumph by scores of 6-0, 3-6, 6-1.

Immaculata will look to make it two in a row next Tuesday when they host Penn State-Harrisburg at 4 p.m.
