Immaculata Men's Soccer Topped By Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa. – Marywood University topped Immaculata University in men's soccer action Saturday evening, 5-1, in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest.
 
Stephen Smith tallied a late goal for the Mighty Macs in the 78th minute on a feed from Luke Santoni. However, Smith's goal was all the scoring Immaculata would produce.
 
Immaculata (1-10, 0-3 CSAC) held Marywood in check during the first half only surrendering one goal in the 16th minute.  
 
The Pacers (5-2-2, 2-0-0 CSAC) scored two quick goals during the opening five minutes of the second half to extend their lead to 3-0. Marywood later struck twice more two minutes apart to extend its advantage to 5-0.
 
Immaculata starting goalkeeper Joseph Lubonski played the first 64 minutes and made seven saves in the loss. Chris Raudabaugh played the final 26 and recorded one stop while not allowing any Marywood goals.
 
Marywood held a 27-15 advantage in shots and 9-3 edge in corner kicks.
 
Immaculata hosts Centenary on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium in another CSAC match.
