JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Immaculata University's volleyball team went 1-2 in tournament play at the New Jersey City University October Quad on Saturday. The Mighty Macs' victory came with a sweep of the hosts, while they dropped both their matches against SUNYIT and Mount Saint Mary.

For her efforts during the three matches,
Jamie Rombach was named to the NJCU October Quad All-Tournament Team. Rombach combined for 35 kills, 21 digs, and five service aces.

Immaculata started the morning sweeping host New Jersey City by scores of 25-13, 25-18 and 25-19. SUNYIT then got the best of Immaculata in the middle match, 3-0, winning 25-15, 25-17 and 25-17. The Mighty Macs capped the afternoon with a five-set loss to Mount Saint Mary, 25-23, 23-25, 16-25, 25-22, 9-15.

In the win against the Gothic Knights, Rombach paced the team with nine kills and added five digs.
Marissa Casella added seven kills, and
Rebecca McDonald had five kills, five digs and 10 service aces.
Brittany Thompson finished with 16 assists, while
Maranda Jones had 13 assists and five service aces.
Molly Truitt had nine digs to lead the defense.

Andrea Okoro led Immaculata in the loss to SUNYIT with seven kills, while
Alexandra Okoro and Rombach each posted six kills. Jones and Thompson each finished with 11 assists apiece. Truitt made 10 digs.

Against Mount Saint Mary, Rombach had a team-high 20 kills and 12 digs.
Alexandra Okoro added 13 kills and seven digs, while
Andrea Okoro had eight kills, seven digs and three blocks. Jones dished out a team-leading 26 assists and made 10 digs, while Thompson registered 15 assists and 13 digs. Truitt had team highs in both digs (25) and service aces (3).

Immaculata, which slipped to 9-16 overall, finishes the regular season on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. travelling to Gwynedd Mercy University.
