Volleyball Drops Tightly Contested Match To Centenary

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. – The Immaculata University volleyball team fell in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match to Centenary College, 3-1, on Thursday night. The host Cyclones won the match by scores 25-23, 27-25, 23-25 and 25-18.

Allison Lang paced the Mighty Macs with nine kills and four total blocks. Andrea Okoro added seven kills and 12 digs, while Alexandra Okoro amassed six kills, eight digs and two blocks. Jamie Rombach set up 23 of Immaculata's kills and finished with a double-double adding 11 digs. Brooke Schreffler led the defense with 15 digs, and Stephanie Johler served up four aces.

Jelena Markovic led three players for Centenary in double-figure kills with 16. Markovic also had 20 assists, 19 digs and seven service aces.

Immaculata slips to 2-12, 0-3 CSAC, while Centenary improves to 4-13, 2-1 in the league.

The Mighty Macs return home for an 11 a.m. match on Saturday opposite Keystone.
