ASTON, Pa. – Immaculata University volleyball dropped three matches at the Neumann Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs lost 3-0 to both Widener and Rutgers-Camden and 3-2 to Bryn Mawr.
In its morning match, Immaculata fell to Widener, 3-0. The Pride won the match with set scores of 25-9, 25-16 and 25-23.
Alexandra Okoro amassed a team-high six kills.
Allison Lang made four kills and two blocks, and
Andrea Okoro totaled three kills.
Jamie Rombach recorded a double-double with 10 assists and 16 digs.
Brooke Schreffler led the team making 21 digs.
Rutgers-Camden swept Immaculata by scores of 25-17, 30-28, 25-17.
Lang led the team with seven kills and four blocks.
Stephanie Johler and
Andrea Okoro each recorded six kills. Rombach made 18 assists, and Schreffler led a trio of Immaculata players with double figure digs with 14.
The Mighty Macs closed the tournament with a five-set match with the Owls of Bryn Mawr. Immaculata won sets two and three, 25-14, 25-21, respectively. However, Bryn Mawr, which won the opening set (25-19), came back to take the fourth and fifth sets, 25-15, 15-7, respectively.
Alex Okoro tallied a team-leading nine kills, while Lang had eight kills and nine blocks and
Andrea Okoro had seven kills and four blocks. Rombach set up 30 Mighty Mac kills and made 20 digs. Schreffler led the team with 27 digs.
Immaculata opens Colonial States Athletic Conference play on Thursday evening traveling to Marywood for a 7 p.m. match.
