ROSEMONT, Pa. - Immaculata University's men's tennis team picked up a 7-2 victory over Rosemont on Friday afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference match.
The Mighty Macs (1-8, 1-3 CSAC) won five singles and two doubles match on their way to the victory against the Ravens.
Immaculata started the match winning the top two doubles positions.
Demetrios Vlahos and
T.J. Klinger were 8-3 winners against Ron Vogelei and Pat McElroy at No. 1 doubles. The Mighty Macs' No. 2 doubles pair of
Eric Schmidt and
Joe Walker won 8-2 opposite Ryan McElroy and Robert Nicoletti.
In singles play, Vlahos against defeated Vogelei, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 1 spot.
Eric Schmidt downed P. McElroy, 7-3, 7-5, at second singles, and Klinger won his match at third singles agianst R. McElroy, 6-3, 6-4. Walker was the final Immaculata player to pick up his second win of the afternoon with his 6-1, 6-3 win against Nicoletti at No. 4 singles.
Todd Stokley rounded out the singles wins by defeating Tom Bottoms, 7-6, 7-6, at fifth singles.
Immaculata hosts Keystone on Saturday at 11 a.m. in another CSAC match.
