SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Immaculata University's volleyball squad fell during both matches on Sunday on the final day of the Susquehanna Invitational. The Mighty Macs lost to Penn State Behrend, 3-0, by scores of 25-14, 25-14 and 25-10. In its second match, Immaculata lost a 3-0 decision to host Susquehanna, dropping the match 25-17, 25-12 and 25-15.
Immaculata's
Jamie Rombach was selected by a vote of the coaches to the all-tournament team. Joining Rombach on the team was Catholic's Claudia Jean, who was named the tournament MVP, and Kristina Purcell, Susquehanna's Emily Carson and Sarah Paluck and Chelsea Magnusen from PSU Behrend.
Against PSU Behrend,
Alexandra Okoro amassed five kills and three blocks, while
Stephanie Johler had five kills and two blocks.
Brittany Thompson made seven assists and 12 digs. Rombach had six assists and 10 digs.
Brooke Schreffler totaled a team-leading 18 digs.
In the final match of the day,
Andrea Okoro and
Allison Lang each had five kills to pace the Mighty Macs.
Andrea Okoro also had three blocks. Rombach made nine assists and six digs, and Schreffler had 18 digs.
Immaculata returns to Colonial States Athletic Conference action on Tuesday hosting Notre Dame of Maryland University at 7 p.m.
