READING, Pa. – After dropping the first set, Immaculata University came back strong and won three-straight sets to win its non-conference volleyball match at Albright, 3-1. The Mighty Macs took the match by scores of 8-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-21.
Immaculata improves to 4-13 overall while Albright is now 4-9.
Andrea Okoro led the Mighty Macs with eight kills and three blocks.
Allison Lang had six kills, 12 digs and five blocks, while
Alexandra Okoro also finished with six kills.
Jamie Rombach set up 20 of Immaculata's 33 kills as a team, while adding five kills of her own. Rombach also tallied 16 digs and five blocks.
Brittany Thompson also recorded seven assists and 15 digs.
Brooke Schreffler amassed a match-high 32 digs, and
Stephanie Johler was the fifth member of Immaculata to record double-figure digs with 12.
The Lions were paced by Christa Mantz' nine kills, Erin Wentzel's 29 assists and Casey McFadden's 30 digs.
Immaculata begins play at the Susquehanna Invitational on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. taking on Bryn Athyn, and the Mighty Macs will follow with a 5 p.m. match with Catholic.
