ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Taking part in its final tri-match of the season, Immaculata University's volleyball team dropped both its matches on Saturday afternoon. Immaculata first fell in a league match to Cedar Crest, 3-1, before falling to King's, 3-0, in non-conference action.
The host Falcons bested the Mighty Macs in Colonial States Athletic Conference action by scores of 25-16, 25-12, 23-25 and 25-22. King's swept the match from Immaculata 25-23, 25-17 and 25-23.
In the first match of the day against Cedar Crest,
Alexandra Okoro tallied a team-leading seven kills, while
Allison Lang and
Jamie Rombach each made six kills. Lang also had seven digs and three blocks, while Rombach made 20 assists and 19 digs.
Stephanie Johler added five kills and three blocks.
Andrea Okoro served up five service aces.
Brooke Schreffler made a team-high 20 digs.
Opposite King's, it was
Andrea Okoro who led the Mighty Macs with five kills.
Alexandra Okoro and Johler each finished with four kills, and Johler had three blocks.
Brittany Thompson made nine assists and Rombach set up seven Immaculata kills. Schreffler again led the defense with 12 digs.
Immaculata slipped to 7-20 overall and 3-7 in CSAC play.
The Mighty Macs travel to Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday evening for a non-league match beginning at 7 p.m.
