CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. -
T.J. Klinger hit a three pointer and
Rob Siter connected on a free throw during the final minute as the Immaculata University men's basketball team was able to hold on for a 53-50 victory at Baptist Bible College on Monday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference play.
After the Defenders took a 50-49 lead with 1:11 remaining in the contest on two Dan Dodd free throws, Klinger's three with 45 seconds left put the Mighty Macs ahead for good, 52-50. Baptist Bible missed its next opportunity, and after grabbing the offensive rebound, turned the ball over. The Defenders then sent Siter to the foul line for the Mighty Macs, where he hit one of his two attempts, and that was enough for the Mighty Macs to hold on for the win after two missed chances for the Defenders during the final 10 seconds.
Siter paced Immaculata (5-9, 3-4 CSAC) with 25 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Nelson Torres finished with 14 points, six rebounds and six steals. Klinger added 11 points and three assists, and
Kendall Peters dished out four assists.
Dodd had a double-double for Baptist Bible with 10 points and 12 rebounds while Jordan Greve had a team-leading 15 points.
Immaculata heads to Neumann on Wednesday for tip-off with the Knights at 8 p.m.
