Volleyball Drops Match To Misericordia, 3-1

DALLAS, Pa.
– Immaculata University's volleyball team fell on the road to Misericordia, 3-1, in a non-league match on Saturday. The Cougars took the match by set scores of 24-26, 25-9, 25-23 and 25-22.

The Mighty Macs (0-2) started the match off strong as they won the opening set, 26-24. However, the Cougars responded by winning the next three sets for the match.

Immaculata setter Kathleen Haefner recorded 30 assists, four kills and five digs. Libero Brooke Schreffler made 21 digs. Brittany Thompson led the Mighty Macs with four service aces and added six digs.

Lindsey Silvestro paced the Immaculata attack with nine kills while Tamara Dabady had seven kills and two blocks. Haley Swearer and Allison Lang each made six kills.

Misericordia was led by 12 kills from Krysal Burford and 17 digs from Kellyn Swanson.

Immaculata heads to Arcadia on Thursday evening, Sept. 8 for a 7 p.m. match.
