Women's Soccer Drops CSAC Opener to Neumann

ASTON, Pa.-
The Immaculata University women's soccer  team fell to host Neumann on Saturday  by a 3-0 margin in both teams  Colonial States Athletic Conference opener.

The Mighty Macs trailed just 1-0 at halftime but  were unable to amount the tying goal before the Knights put the game out of reach with two more scores in the second half.

Neumann (3-3, 1-0 CSAC)  finished the match out-shooting Immaculata, 13-7.
Zena Tracey led Immaculata's attack totaling three shots while Kim Steinke registered two shots.

Immaculata goalkeeper Meghan McCurnin made three saves in the effort. Neumann goalie Brittany Russ had four stops. 
 
Immaculata (1-2, 0-1 CSAC) returns to action on Wednesday  afternoon, Sept. 21, hosting Rosemont at 4 p.m.
