Men's Tennis Drops Decision To Berks

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Immaculata University's men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Penn State Berks on Saturday afternoon in a non-league match.

The Mighty Macs (0-4) won games off their opponents at all three doubles positions. Immaculata's second and third doubles teams of Eric Schimdt and Chris Conlan, and Mike Hermansen and T.J. Klinger, respectively, both fell 8-3 to their Nittany Lion counterparts. Immaculata's top duo of Nick Tarlecki and Demetrios Vlahos fell 8-1 to Penn State Berk's pair.

Tarlecki battled Andrew Miller in the top singles flight but eventually lost the match, 6-1, 6-3. Vlahos also wouldn't go away quietly at the second position against Steven Roughton, 6-4, 6-2. Conlan was defeated by Javier Quinones-Melendez, 6-2, 6-0, at fifth singles, and making his IU debut was Klinger who fell at sixth singles to Bradley Kale, 6-1, 6-1.

Immaculata hosts Alvernia on Tuesday afternoon March 29 in the conclusion of its homestand to open the season at 3:30 p.m.
