IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's tennis team was defeated by Ursinus College, 9-0, in the Mighty Macs' season opener on Tuesday afternoon.

Ursinus (5-1) won all the doubles points as Sean Kelly and Matt Hope won the top position from Immaculata's (0-1) Nick Tarlecki and Demetrios Vlahos, 8-2. The Mighty Macs' second pair of Eric Schmidt and Michael Hermansen were defeated by the Bears' Kevin Dean and Greg Lewis, 8-1.

Tarlecki, Vlahos and Schmidt all took games off their singles opponents at the top three singles positions, respectively. Tarlecki lost at No. 1 to Hope, 6-0, 6-1, and Vlahos and Schmidt were defeated, 6-1, 6-0, by David Rowe and Dean, respectively.

Immaculata hosts Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
