Field Hockey Suffers 3-0 Loss at Wesley

Wesley College proved too much for visiting Immaculata University on Thursday evening, as the Wolverines defeated the Mighty Macs, 3-0, in its final non-conference game this season.

The Wolverines (11-8) got on the scoreboard first as Madison Leone deposited the ball into the cage at the 14:29 mark of the game. The Mighty Macs held off Wesley for the remainder of the first half and trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Abigail Wes made 2-0 in favor of the Wolverines just two minutes into the second half, Wesley added its final tally as Lauren Mears converted on a corner at the 55:29 mark.

Immaculata goalkeeper Natalie Slezak stopped 12 of the 23 shots faced in the loss.
Wesley goalkeeper Elizabeth Groom picked up the win as she made three saves in 55 minutes of play.

Immaculata (8-9) concludes the regular season on Friday, Oct. 28 and hosts Gwynedd-Mercy for a key CSAC contest at 4 p.m.
