Volleyball Claims 3-1 Win Opposite Gwynedd-Mercy

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - The Immaculata University volleyball team traveled to Gwynedd-Mercy College on Tuesday night to claim a 3-1 win against the Griffins in Colonial States Athletic Conference play. The Mighty Macs won the match in four sets, winning 25-18, 25-22, 12-25 and 25-13.

Immaculata improved its record to 11-9 overall and 5-4 in the conference while Gwynedd-Mercy slipped to 7-16, 3-7 CSAC.

Kathleen Haefner recorded a double-double with 30 assists and 14 digs. Courtney Sahm paced the Mighty Macs with eight kills, and had 11 digs and a team-best three service aces. Brooke Schreffler led the defense making 16 digs.

Tamara Dabady finished with seven kills and five total blocks for the Mighty Macs, and Lindsey Silvestro also had seven kills and one block. Allison Lang made three blocks to go along with her three kills and seven digs.

The Griffins were led by Rachel Lambert's 13 kills, and Aileen Reilly had a team-leading 11 digs.

The Mighty Macs are home for the remainder of the regular season beginning with Centenary on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at Alumnae Hall.
