Men's Soccer Gets 2-1 Win Against Philadelphia Biblical

IMMACULATA, Pa.
– Immaculata University's men's soccer team broke through on Wednesday afternoon for a 2-1 victory against Philadelphia Biblical University in Colonial States Athletic Conference play at Draper Walsh Stadium.
 
T.J. Jappah scored seven minutes apart to provide the Mighty Macs' all the offense they would need for win.
 
Despite strong efforts by both squads the game was scoreless at intermission. However, it did not take the hosts long into the second half to find the back of the net. Jappah scored unassisted in the 49th minute to give Immaculata a 1-0 advantage. In the 56th minute, Jappah again tallied an unassisted goal to move the Mighty Macs ahead, 2-0. 
 
Philadelphia Biblical played with a sense of urgency as the clock began to wind down, and Jeremy McAlack scored in the 85th minute for the Crimson Eagles on a pass up from Sam Hunter. 
 
Immaculata was able to avert any further scoring opportunities by Philadelphia Biblical and claim the CSAC win.
 
Chris Raudabaugh made six saves for the Mighty Macs to earn the win in goal. Dave Simon recorded four stops for the Crimson Eagles in the loss.
 
The Mighty Macs are now 2-12-1 overall and 1-5-1 in the conference. The Crimson Eagles drop to 6-7, 2-4 in the league.
 
Immaculata outshot Philadelphia Biblical 15-9 and held a 6-3 lead in corner opportunities.
 
Immaculata is back on the pitch on Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. when it travels to Marywood University.
