READING, Pa. – The Immaculata University volleyball team picked up its first win of the young 2010 season Saturday afternoon by defeating Albright College, 3-2. The Mighty Macs rallied to win the five-setter after dropping the first two sets, 15-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-20 and 15-13.
A potent attack in the third set turned the Mighty Macs fortunes around. Immaculata hit .464 during the middle set, including 16 kills with only three hitting errors on 28 attacks. The Mighty Macs continued to attack more accurately than the Lions in the fourth and fifth sets, leading to their comeback victory.
Lindsey Silvestro paced three Immaculata players in double figures in the kill column with 20 kills and a .421 hitting percentage for the match.
Tamara Dabady added 11 kills, had a team-best .455 hitting percentage and made four blocks, and
Jessica Egan rounded out the trio with 10 kills and served up three aces.

Kathleen Haefner recorded the only double-double effort for the Mighty Macs will 32 assists and 13 digs.
Brooke Schreffler made a team-high 19 digs.
Albright was led by two players with double-doubles. Danielle Ozment collected 20 kills and 11 digs while Lauren Higgins had 40 assists and 11 digs. Casey McFadden had a Lion-best 20 digs.
Immaculata returns to the court on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. traveling to Ursinus.
