Volleyball Comes Up Short On Day Two Of Blue Jay Classic

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa.
– The Immaculata University volleyball squad fell by 3-0 margins in both of its matches on day two of the Blue Jay Classic hosted by Elizabethtown College on Saturday afternoon. Immaculata was defeated by Catholic in the first match of the day, 25-9, 25-13 and 25-14. The Mighty Macs concluded the two-day tournament with a 25-23, 25-17 and 25-18 loss to fellow CSAC foe Neumann.

Allison Lang's three kills were team-highs against Catholic. Kathleen Haefner tallied 12 assists and Brooke Schreffler made 17 kills in the first match of the day for the Mighty Macs.

In the Neumann match, Jessica Egan and Lindsey Silvestro each totaled seven kills. Silvestro, Haefner and Tamara Dabady all made two blocks apiece. Haefner recorded 20 assists against the Knights, and Schreffler had 16 digs.

Immaculata gets a re-match with Neumann on Tuesday, as the Mighty Macs head to Aston, Pa. for a 7 p.m. conference match against the Knights.
