Second Half Lifts Elizabethtown Past Men's Soccer

IMMACULATA, Pa.
Kevin Glenn scored off his own throw-in in the first half, but visiting Elizabethtown scored three unanswered goals in the second half to come away with a 3-1 non-league men's soccer victory over Immaculata at Draper-Walsh Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Immaculata falls to 1-6-1 on the season while Elizabethtown improves to 4-1-2.

Glenn threw the ball into the penalty area down in the near-side corner where Kameron Teel then headed the ball back to Glenn. Glenn's shot sailed through the hands of the Elizabethtown's goalkeeper and into the net, putting the Mighty Macs on top, 1-0, in the 39th minute.

E-town's Chris Rice scored twice in the second half off assists from Javiem Blanchette. Those tallies sandwiched a marker from Cameron Gettel off a penalty kick.

Joshua Garcia made six saves in 90 minutes of work in goal for Immaculata. Andy Barnes made five saves for Elizabethtown.

Elizabethtown held a 20-8 advantage in shots and a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks in the contest.

Immaculata returns to Draper Walsh Stadium on Wednesday for another non-conference tilt against Penn State Abington at 7 p.m.
