IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata University's men's tennis team won its home finale on Tuesday afternoon, defeating Lancaster Bible College, 7-2.
The Mighty Macs (2-10) won two of three doubles matches as Immaculata's top two pairs were each winners. Dave Harlan and Nick Tarlecki picked up an 8-4 victory at first doubles, and Eric Schmidt and Demetrios Vlahos were 8-2 winners at No. 2.
Immaculata continued its dominance as singles play began, winning at the first four positions and sixth singles. Tarlecki won at No. 1, 6-4, 6-4 against Phil Smock, while Harlan was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Dan McAllister at the second spot. Vlahos won his match at third singles with a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Ryan Torrenti. Schmidt won his match at No. 4, 6-1, 6-4, against Peter Coderre, and Mike Tyrell, at the sixth position, was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Taylor Dooley.
Immaculata plays its final non-conference match of the season at Alvernia on Thursday. Match time is slated for 3:30 p.m.
