IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata University was defeated by Arcadia University, 8-1, on Monday afternoon in a non-conference men's tennis match.

Immaculata (0-9) picked up a win at sixth singles as Mike Tyrell claimed his third win of the season by downing Brandon Williams, 6-1, 6-1.

Arcadia (2-6) claimed all three doubles points but not before Immaculata's Eric Schmidt and Demetrios Vlahos stretched their match at the second spot to 8-3 against Christopher Finney and Bart Blankenship.

In other singles action, Nick Tarlecki, playing at No. 1, took three games from Finney in his loss, 6-1, 6-2. Dave Harlan and Vlahos each lost their match at two and three singles, respectively, by scores of 6-0, 6-1, and Schmidt and Mike Pancoast fell by scores of 6-0, 6-2 at their matches at four and five singles, respectively.

Immaculata travels to Rosemont on Wednesday for a league contest against the Ravens at 3:30 p.m.
