IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Wesley College proved too much for Immaculata University on Saturday afternoon, as the visiting Wolverines defeated the Mighty Macs, 8-4, at Draper Walsh Stadium.

The Mighty Macs got on the scoreboard first as Lauren Bigos was waiting in front of the cage to bury Mary Beth Plastek's pass into the goal for a 1-0 Immaculata lead just 3:04 into the game.

Wesley came back with a penalty corner goal just over two minutes last to tie the score at 1-1, and it began a five-goal stretch for the Wolverines all in a span of 15 minutes.

Bigos added her second tally of the contest in the 23rd minute as she scored this time on a feed from Emily Hallett, and the Mighty Macs trailed at halftime, 5-2.

Abigail Hill scored for the Wolverines 10 minutes into in the second half, staking Welsey to a 6-2 lead.

The Mighty Macs scored twice in a span of three minutes to now trail by just two goals, 6-4, with 16 minutes remaining. Kathleen Garrity scored on a scramble in front, and Kristen Yoder converted a penalty stroke.

Wesley answered with two more goals in the 57th and 60th minute, and went on to the 8-4 win.

Immaculata goalkeeper Britt Worthington made four saves during the contest, and Yoder had two defensive stops.

The Wolverines were led by Madison Leone's hat-trick , and Sheree Pleasanton and Hill each recorded two scores. Welsey goalkeeper Sarah Johnson picked up the win as she made two saves in just over 62 minutes of action.

Immaculata is back in action for its final non-conference game this season on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Arcadia. .
