Men’s Basketball Plans Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Game

IMMACULATA, Pa. - Please join the Immaculata men's basketball program and head coach Jaime Chadwin as they participate in the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers awareness weekend on January 30, 2010.  This is the fourth year Immaculata has participated in the event as they take on Baptist Bible College at 3 p.m. at Alumnae Hall.

Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers, a collaborative initiative of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the American Cancer Society, is a nationwide event held each winter. Coaches from across the country unite for a common cause – fighting cancer!  Coaches and their staff will be wearing sneakers with their game suits while coaching games to: raise awareness about the fight against cancer, share the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing one's risk of the disease, and promote the American Cancer Society as a place for people facing cancer to turn 24 hours a day, seven days a week for free information, help, and support.

Immaculata encourages its fans to wear sneakers to the game to show their support, and donations will be collected at the door to benefit the American Cancer Society.
