Men's Soccer Falls To No. 9 Swarthmore

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Immaculata fell to ninth-ranked Swarthmore, 5-0, Wednesday night in a men's soccer non-conference contest at Draper Walsh Stadium.

Immaculata (1-3-3) kept Swarthmore (7-0) off the scoreboard for the first 29 minutes, but the Garnet broke through in the 30th minute as Henry Ainley buried the ball in the back of the net. Morgan Langley scored the first of his two goals of the night in the 34th minutes, and Swarthmore had a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Langley and Omari Faakye scored just over six minutes apart early in the second half, and Ainley had his second tally for the contest with minutes to play.

Swarthmore outshot Immaculata, 24-7, and the Garnet held a slight 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.

Immaculata starting goalkeeper Stone Gahagan made seven saves and allowed four goals in 75 minutes of action. Chad Mascitelli came on for the final 15 minutes, making one stop and allowing one goal.

Swarthmore goalkeepers David D'Annunzio and Zachary Weimar combined for the shutout, with D'Annunzio recording just one save.

Immaculata will be at Elizabethtown at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
