Cabrini Hands Men's Tennis 8-1 Loss

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- The Immaculata University men's tennis team was handed an 8-1 loss by Cabrini College Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

Michael Pancoast picked up Immaculata's (0-7, 0-3 CSAC) point with an exciting match at No. 6 singles against Levent Beken. The last match to finish, Pancoast won the opening set, 7-6, and rounded out the win by taking the second set, 6-3, to pick up his first singles victory this season.

Nick Tarlecki, playing at No. 1 singles, and Demetrios Vlahos, in the No. 4 position, each loss by scores of 6-1, 6-0. The Mighty Macs top doubles team of Tarlecki and Dave Harlan went 8-1 while IU's No. 2 doubles tandem of Bobby DeYoung and Vlahos loss 8-2. Cabrini (3-5, 2-1 CSAC) swept Immaculata at the other positions.

Immaculata hosts Albright on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in non-conference action.
