Men's Tennis Swept By Marywood

SCRANTON, Pa.
- Marywood University swept a Colonial States Athletic Conference men's tennis match against visiting Immaculata University, 9-0, Saturday afternoon. 

The Pacers evened their record at 4-4 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC while the Mighty Macs slipped to 0-6 overall, 0-2 CSAC.

Marywood took the early 3-0 lead following doubles action. Nick Tarlecki and Dave Harlan dropped an 8-3 decision to Dan Reynolds and Tim Franzone at No. 1 doubles while Bobby DeYoung and Demetrios Vlahos were downed at second doubles, 8-2, by Evan Bolus and Bao Nguyen.

In singles action, Marywood's Bolus defeated DeYoung in the top spot, 6-2, 6-3. Tarlecki took one game from Franzone at No. 2, 6-0, 6-1, and Pancoast won two games in the second set from John Domider in the fifth position, 6-0, 6-2. Harlan and Andre Brooks each suffered 6-1, 6-1 setbacks at third and sixth singles, respectively.

Immaculata returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Cabrini for a 3:30 p.m. match.
