Men’s Tennis Drops 8-1 Decision At DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, Pa.
– Immaculata's Nick Tarlecki picked up his first singles victory of the young season as the Mighty Macs dropped a non-conference men's tennis match to DeSales, 8-1, Thursday afternoon.

Tarlecki downed Michael Cejovic, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles to earn the point for the Mighty Macs (0-2).

Dave Harlan and Michael Pancoast each put up a fight in the fourth and fifth singles position, respectively. Harlan came up short against Dan Bullen at No. 4 by scores of 6-4, 6-1, while Pancoast lost his battle to Joe Sulpizio at No. 5, 7-5, 6-1.

All three Immaculata doubles tandems lost by scores of 8-5. DeSales' (1-0) No. 1 duo of Jake Hoover and Tom Allen downed Bobby DeYoung and Demetrios Vlahos. Cejovic and Sulpizio combined to defeat Tarlecki and Harlan, and Seth Conklin and Timothy Golden bettered IU's team of Pancoast and Andre Brooks.

Immaculata continues its road stretch to begin the year with its first Colonial States Athletic Conference match this season at Baptist Bible on Saturday, March 14. First serve is slated for 1 p.m.
