Men's Tennis Falls In Opener To Eastern

St. DAVIDS, Pa.
– The Immaculata University men's tennis team dropped its season opener, 9-0, at Eastern University on Tuesday, March 10 in a non-conference match.

Immaculata begins the season 0-1 while Eastern improves to 2-0.

Bobby DeYoung fell 6-0, 6-1 to Michael Roth at the No. 1-singles position, while Nick Tarlecki fell to Jordan Gates, 6-1, 6-0, in the No. 2 spot. Other Mighty Macs also taking games during their sets were Demetrios Vlahos, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4 against Taylor Kiser, and Michael Pancoast fell at the 5 position, 6-1, 6-0, to Dan Wilson.

The tandem of DeYoung and Tarlecki fell to Roth and Gates, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles while Immaculata's No. 2 squad of Dave Harlan and Vlahos dropped an 8-3 decision to Bryan Arnett and Sean McGuinness.

Immaculata returns to action on Thursday, March 12, when it travels to DeSales University. First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m.
