GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - Gwen Conte scored two goals to lead host Gwynedd-Mercy to a 2-0 victory over visiting Immaculata in the quarterfinal round of the CSAC Women's Soccer postseason tournament Monday afternoon at the GMC Athletic Complex.
Immaculata (9-7-3) ended its season with the loss while Gwynedd-Mercy (10-9) moves on to the semifinals Wednesday at Marywood against the Pacers.
Jessica Gaburo made seven saves in the loss. Kristie Pollock made three for the Griffins.
Conte scored the first of her two tallies in the 36th minute. She would later add another goal in the 58th minute for all the scoring the hosts would need.
Gwynedd-Mercy outshot Immaculata, 13-6, and the Griffins led in corner kicks, 6-1.
