Men's Soccer Drops Game Opposite Neumann, 3-1

ASTON, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's soccer squad dropped a Colonial States Athletic Conference contest to Neumann University, 3-1, Wednesday night. 

The Mighty Macs fall to 3-5-3 overall and 1-1 in the CSAC with the loss while the Knights improve to 6-4-1 overall and remain perfect in league play at 4-0.

After 30 minutes of scoreless action, Michael Moore broke through for the Mighty Macs 30:05 into the contest, collecting a rebound and depositing the ball into the back of the net.

Immaculata would hold that 1-0 lead until the 63rd minute when Neumann netted the equalizer. Sergio Garcia took a feed from Andrew Raimundo and beat Immaculata goalkeeper Stone Gahagan. Less than three minutes later, Nathan Beideman scored unassisted, giving the Knights' the 2-0 advantage.

Raimundo iced the contest for Neumann in the 72nd minute as he scored on an Andy Attah assist.

Neumann held a 16-13 edge in shots and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks over Immaculata.

Gahagan finished the contest making eight saves in the loss, and Neumann's Zac Ratliff made nine stops to earn the win.

Immaculata next hosts Rosemont at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday at 2 p.m.
