Men's Soccer Keeps Rolling, Downs Baptist Bible, 4-1

CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. - The Immaculata University men's soccer team won its fourth straight contest Saturday afternoon, defeating Baptist Bible College, 4-1, in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

The Mighty Macs earn the No. 3 seed in the CSAC Tournament with the win, as they improve to 8-6-4 overall and 6-2-1 in the conference. Baptist Bible ends its season with a 5-13-2 overall and 1-6-2 league mark.

Immaculata wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as Mitchel Torh set up Kameron Teel for the score just 21 seconds into the contest. The Mighty Macs doubled their lead in the 34th minute as Torh scored unassisted, and Immaculata held a 2-0 advantage at the intermission.

Baptist Bible cut its deficit in half in the 68th minute as Joshua Pyper found the back of the net. However, the Mighty Macs put two more tallies on the board. Teel added his second goal of the game in the 70th minute, and Daniel Arteglier finished the scoring with 1:43 left in the contest.

Immaculata goalkeeper Stone Gahagan earned the win making eight saves, while Luke Williams played 69 minutes for Baptist Bible with one stop.

Baptist Bible outshot Immaculata, 14-9, while the Mighty Macs edged the Defenders, 5-4, in corner kicks.

Immaculata hosts No. 6 seed Centenary in the CSAC Tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m. at Draper Walsh Stadium.
