Men's Soccer Claims 4-1 Win Opposite Cabrini

Box Score

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- Alan Lorentz and Kameron Teal each scored twice as the Immaculata men's soccer team knocked off CSAC preseason favorite Cabrini, 4-1, Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium in the Mighty Macs' conference opener.

Lorentz capitalized on a penalty kick in the 28th minute as he placed the ball over the Cabrini goalkeeper's left shoulder, putting the Mighty Macs ahead 1-0.

Immaculata (3-4-3, 1-0 CSAC) maintained that advantage until the 61st minute when Cabrini's Evan Hanauer knotted the score at 1-1.

Lorentz went back to work for Immaculata just over 12 minutes later as Kyle Craig passed the ball to the corner of the box, where a waiting Lorentz was able to slip the ball in the corner of the net, for his second goal of the afternoon and it proved to be the game-winner.

Teel scored twice on break-aways less than three minutes apart during the final seven minutes of the contest. His tally in the 83rd minute was the first of his career.

Immaculata goalkeeper Stone Gahagan made seven saves to earn the win, while Bryan Johnson made three stops in the loss.

Cabrini outshot Immaculata 15-12, and the Cavaliers held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Immaculata travels to Neumann on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. start.
