IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Immaculata field hockey team clinched the No. 6 seed in the Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament with its 2-1 overtime victory against Cedar Crest in the regular-season finale on Monday.

The Mighty Macs (4-10, 3-5 CSAC) earned the sixth seed in the tournament and will travel to No. 3 Neumann (8-8, 6-2 CSAC) for a quarterfinal match-up on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 3:30 p.m. In other quarterfinal action, No. 4 Cabrini will host No. 5-seed Marywood in the other contest at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Earlier this season, the Mighty Macs fell in overtime to the Knights, 3-2, at Draper Walsh Stadium on Sept. 29. Neumann's Melissa Malick snagged the rebound off the pad of Immaculata goalkeeper Britt Worthington and pushed it into the back of the net 6:50 into overtime, lifting the Knights to the win.

Neumann scored just 3:33 into the contest, but Immaculata tied the score at 1-all just before halftime as Katherine Becker passed the ball up to a waiting Lauren Bigos just in front of the cage for the easy goal.

The Knights retook the lead in the 44th minute as Megan Mazur converted on a penalty stroke for the 2-1 advantage. However, the Mighty Macs were able to used a series of penalty corners to finally produce a score with just over eight minutes remaining in regulation. Kristen Yoder inserted the ball to Emily Hallett, who then quickly passed it back to Yoder, as Yoder scored her first career goal.
