Men's Soccer Secures Playoff Spot With 3-1 Win

IMMACULATA, Pa.
- The Immaculata University men's soccer team capped off its senior day festivities with a 3-1 victory against Philadelphia Biblical University in Colonial States Athletic Conference action on a rain soaked Saturday afternoon. The win secures a spot in the CSAC Tournament for the Mighty Macs.

Immaculata ups its mark to 6-6-4 overall and 4-2-1 in the CSAC. Philadelphia Biblical slips to 6-10-2 overall, 2-6-1 in the league.

The Crimson Eagles struck first in the 13th minute, as Phil Haas scored unassisted. The Mighty Macs' Kameron Teel responded just over two minutes later as he knotted the score at 1-all on a breakaway.

Immaculata scored again in the 18th minute, this time off of Alan Lorentz' indirect kick. The Mighty Macs' lead would remain 2-1 at the break.

Immaculata connected once more during the 57th minute for the final 3-1 margin. Kyle Craig sent a feed in to Aaron Burton, who tallied his first collegiate goal.

The hosts held a 17-3 advantage in shots and also led 5-3 in corner kicks.

Immaculata goalkeeper Stone Gahagan made one save in the complete game win. PBU keeper Andy Ecker made nine stops.

Immaculata travels to Marywood on Tuesday, Oct. 27 for a 4 p.m. tilt against the Pacers.
