IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata was defeated by visiting Neumann, 3-0, Wednesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference volleyball action inside Alumnae Hall. The Knights won the match with set scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-22.
The Mighty Macs attempted to take the third set from the Knights, getting ahead 18-14. However, Neumann scored five straight points, reclaiming the 19-18 margin. The final set featured 10 ties and six lead changes as the two squads battled back-and-forth.
Lindsey Silvestro led Immaculata with 10 kills, a .588 hitting percentage and added three blocks.
Nicole Preziuso chipped in seven kills and eight digs.
Kathleen Haefner totaled 16 assists, and
Courtney Sahm paced the defense with 10 digs.
For the Knights, Jerrae Robinson recorded a match-high 12 kills, four service aces and three blocks. Cecily Scavicchio registered 36 assists, while Victoria Limmina and Melissa Haines each had 12 digs.
Immaculata travels to Cabrini on Saturday for an 11 a.m. match.
