IMMACULATA, Pa. - Immaculata University's men's soccer played to a 1-1 double overtime tie against Gwynedd-Mercy College Tuesday night in Colonial States Athletic Conference action.

The Mighty Macs (4-6-4, 2-2-1 CSAC) tied the game at 1-all at the 86:27 mark on a penalty kick by Alan Lorentz. Immaculata was held scoreless throughout the overtime period as the Mighty Macs outshot the Griffins (7-7-1, 4-1-1), 6-0 in the extra frames.  

Matthew Meier opened the scoring for Gwynedd-Mercy just seven minutes into the game off a breakaway.  

The Mighty Macs peppered Gwynedd-Mercy with 24 shots, including 18 during regulation. Mike Leonard recorded seven saves for the Griffins, while Immaculata goalkeeper Stone Gahagan registered three saves on eight shots.

The Mighty Macs also held a 15-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Imamculata will return to action on Thursday, October 22, when they host Keystone College. Game time is set for 3 p.m.
