IMMACULATA, Pa. - A pair of
Alan Lorentz penalty kicks lifts host Immaculata past visiting Centenary, 2-1, Tuesday afternoon in Colonial States Athletic Conference men's soccer action.
Immaculata improves to 4-6-2 overall and 2-2 in the CSAC. Centenary falls to 4-9 overall, 1-4 CSAC.
Kameron Teel was twice taken down inside the box during the second half, just under four minutes apart, setting up the opportunities for the Mighty Macs. Lorentz tied the score at 1-1 when his penalty kick found the back of the net in the 54th minute, and he put Immaculata ahead, 2-1, with his second penalty kick goal at 57:04.
The Cyclones had scored first in the 25th minute as Alex Walters scored on an empty net after leaping over the IU goalkeeper for the loose ball.
Immaculata held a 17-10 advantage in shots while the Cyclones' edged the Mighty Macs', 8-7, in corner kicks.

Stone Gahagan made seven stops in the win while Jason Rogers for Centenary recorded six saves.
